Sauteed Veggies
Easily prepare a beautiful side of vegetables in a Betty Crocker. Below are the vegetables I used, but you can get creative with your favorite veggies and seasonings.
Rice
Prepare rice in less than 15 minutes when you make it in a Betty Crocker! Here’s how to do it.
Scrambled Eggs
A Betty Crocker is also great for making scrambled eggs! Here’s a basic recipe, but you can get creative with your favorite vegetables and spices.
BBQ Chicken
Get yourself a Betty Crocker designated for meat and see what a breeze it is to cook BBQ chicken.
Salmon Skewers
Who said you can't be a little fancy, even when cooking on a Betty? These salmon cubes can be made on a skewer or without. They look great on a small bed of greens with your favorite ready-made dipping sauce on the side, or just as-is!
Potato Kugel
What’s Shabbat without potato kugel? This one takes a bit longer to cook than the other recipes, but it is so worth the wait! You can use whatever variety of potatoes you usually use for kugel! I used Yukon Gold, which is my go-to potato.
Boneless Baby Chicken
I love lemon pepper seasoning! It pairs well with so many foods, and especially chicken. This recipe also works well for chicken on the bone made in the oven, for when you get back home!
Syrian Pizza Flatbread
Syrian meat pizzas are a huge favorite over here. We love them with a side of hummus as an appetizer. Here, I decided to make a large flatbread-style meat pizza on pre-made pizza dough. You can use a premade crust or flatbread too, as long as it fits inside the pizza maker!
Brownies
You've got to have something for dessert! I used a pre-made brownie mix to bake up a fresh brownie pie. Serve with ice cream and/or fresh fruit.
Steak Fajita Bowl
Can you believe this dinner was made on the Betty? It's amazing what you can make. I cooked the rice as per these directions. To brighten the bowl up, I bought prepacked guacamole, pico de gallo, and a can of corn! If you'd like you can make your own guac and pico. Find the recipes here!

- To cook, plug in the Betty and heat until the green light turns on. Spray the inside with oil and place the steak inside. Close the lid and cook for 2–3 minutes per side. Transfer to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes. Slice into thin strips, cutting against the grain.Spray the inside of the Betty Crocker with oil again. Place peppers inside and cook with the lid open, until soft and lightly charred.
- Serving suggestion: Serve steak and peppers over a rice bowl or in tacos.
Honey Harissa Salmon Plate
Another fantastic dinner or hearty lunch idea that's a whole meal! I suggest serving it with couscous (yes, made in the Betty!) and an Israeli style salad I called "Mediterranean salsa fresca" which you can make in advance and pack along with you. It just takes the whole dish up a notch.
