I'm Sara, welcome!
I am so happy you are here! I wanted to share with you a little about me. As a busy mom of 3, I'm always looking for delicious recipes that are easy to make, but also look really good. You won't find recipes that call for a million ingredients or tons of hands on time on this site. Even though I love to cook and bake, I'm really cool with feeding my family (and guests on the weekends) with good food that didn't have me slaving away for hours in the kitchen.
We keep a kosher home, so all of the recipes on this site are kosher. You don't have to keep kosher to enjoy these recipes.
More about me...
So let's get into it. I'm sure a lot of you are wondering where I came up with the name, "tomatoes tomahtos" ...it's a cute story. My serious culinary path began back in 2012 when I went to culinary school in the beautiful city of Jerusalem. I trained in classic French cuisine, with an Israeli kick. The food memories that I experienced were unlike anything I had ever tasted growing up in Chicago. I met my British husband to be in culinary school and we married in 2013, settling in New Jersey.
I started working in a culinary and baking supplies store, while dreaming up what dinners we would make and then post on Instagram when I got home. We eventually changed the name to reflect both of us. (get it now?) I've since taken over the reins , but the name is so cute and meaningful, it's remained.
As the world of social media began to grow, I decided to purchase a camera and work on getting better quality photos. Slowly, I started creating content for websites, brands, and even some individuals in the food space.
I fell in love with food photography and was determined to create images that would wow (and make you really hungry.) I kept practicing and investing in equipment, props, and lots of Youtube videos. My business grew as I was able to offer clients "the full package" of recipes and images!
