Grilled wings always have a seat at my table! These grilled gochujang wings are spicy, sweet, and loaded with flavor. I chose to make mine with drumettes, because those are my absolute favorite, but this recipe works well with any part of the wing.

What you need to make grilled gochujang wings:
- Gochujang- the star ingredient! It's a savory, sweet and spicy fermented red chili paste. You can easily find kosher gochujang on Amazon.
- Soy sauce
- Light brown sugar- Helps sweeten the sauce and round out the spiciness. It also caramelizes for a delicious flavor and golden brown look.
- Rice vinegar
- Honey
- Frozen minced garlic and ginger cubes- I like to use these for convenience. You can easily substitute chopped fresh or jarred.
- Sesame oil
- Chicken wings- I used the drumette part of the chicken wing which is the uppermost part of the chicken wing. It resembles a small drumstick shape.
- Sesame seeds and scallions for garnish
Instructions:
- Start by combining the gochujang, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, ginger and sesame oil in a bowl.
- Pour ¾ of the sauce over the wings. Let them marinate while the grill heats to 400F.
- Grill the wings over indirect heat for 10 minutes.
- Flip and grill an additional 10 minutes.
- Base with the reserved marinade and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from the grill and garnish with sesame seeds and scallions if desired.
Storage for grilled gochujang wings:
Store leftover wings in the fridge for 3-4 days. To reheat, place in a warm oven until heated through.
