Grilled gochujang wings

Grilled gochujang wings have the perfect balance of sweet and spice making them irresistible and finger licking good!

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs chicken wings or drumettes
  • ¼ c gochujang
  • ¼ c soy sauce
  • ¼ c light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 cubes frozen minced garlic
  • 4 cubes frozen minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • sliced scallions for garnish

Method
 

  1. Start by combining the gochujang, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger and sesame oil in a bowl.
  2. Pour ¾ of the sauce over the wings. Let them marinate while the grill heats to 400F.
  3. Grill the wings over indirect heat for 10 minutes.
  4. Flip and grill an additional 10 minutes.
  5. Base with the reserved marinade and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from the grill and garnish with sesame seeds and scallions if desired.
