Nature's Gatorade (natural electrolyte drink) have have taken the social media world by storm recently. The idea is that it's an electrolyte replenishing drink just like Gatorade or the like, but made with natural ingredients. There's no artificial coloring, flavors or sweeteners in them! There's different versions out there, but I'm going to show you my favorite. The base is made with the same ingredients and you can change up the flavor depending on your mood!

What are the base ingredients for Nature's Gatorade (natural electrolyte drink)?
- Coconut water- a natural source of several electrolytes making it the ideal base for Nature's Gatorade. If you are not a fan of the coconut taste, don't worry! It's not detectable in these drinks.
- Himalayan pink salt- is minimally processed and contains electrolytes so it helps improve your hydration.
- Lemons or limes- Firstly they add delicious flavor to the drinks, naturally! Also, guess what they contain? Electrolytes!
- Honey or maple syrup- to add that touch of sweetness. If your looking for the option with more electrolytes, go with the maple syrup.

Flavor it up!
Here are 3 of my favorite Nature's Gatorade flavors:
- Wild blueberries- Okay it took me a minute to realize that this is not your average blueberries! They have a more intense and tangy flavor that delivers a really flavor punch! I buy a big frozen bag at Target.
- Watermelon- Is it really summer if you don't have a watermelon in your fridge? When it's paired with fresh lime juice, it's the ultimate summer beverage. Sweet and sour!
- Cucumber- A little unsuspecting super hydrating vegetable. It's perfect for when you want a really light flavored drink.
How to make it:
- Put your fruit or vegetable of choice into a high powered blender
- Add in the coconut water, lemon or lime juice, salt, and sweetener if choice if desired.
- Blend on medium-high for 1 minute.
- Pour the drink into a mini strainer set over a glass filled with ice. Stir with a straw and enjoy!

Can I make Nature's Gatorade (natural electrolyte drink) in advance?
Definitely! Strain the drink into an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days for peak freshness. Shake well and pour over ice to serve.
Tips and tricks:
Add more citrus juice or sweeter as desired! I love making the watermelon drink super sour with lots of fresh lime juice.
You can interchange the lemon or lime juice in all of the recipes, depending on your preference!
I highly recommend using coconut water for maximum benefit, but you could also use filtered water if needed.
