The hot days of summer are here to stay for now, and refreshing snack is in order. These frozen sour grapes with chili lime are my kind of spin on the famous fruit riot snack. If you haven't yet tried, it's this sour candy coated type of frozen grape treat that everyone is buying. I'm totally down for shelling out $5 for my favorite treat, but I wanted to create my own fun spin! I hope you find them sweet, sour, spicy and oh so refreshing!

Here's what you need:
- Grapes- I prefer green always, and especially here when the goal is to have some sourness element going. If your not a fan of green grapes, feel free to try them with red! Look for large beautiful grapes for the ideal snack satisfaction.
- Lemon juice- This will add additional tart and tangy flavor, as well as provide the perfect coating for the sugar and chili lime spice to stick to.
- Sugar- I use plain ole granulated sugar!
- Chili lime seasoning- I use the Trade Joe's version.
How to make frozen soup grapes with chili lime
- Start by washing and drying the grapes well. I like to do this in my salad spinner, but you don't have to be so fancy!
- Transfer the cleaned grapes to a large bowl. Add the lemon juice, chili lime spice, and sugar. Toss well to coat.
- Transfer to a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze for minimum of 3 hours. I like to freeze mine overnight for the most refreshing results!
Storing:
Store these frozen sour grapes with chili lime in an airtight container or a Ziplock bag for up to 3 months in the freezer.
