I woke up one of these past wintry mornings craving something fresh. My favorite juice is a kale one that I occasionally pick up at my local juice shop. There is something so crisp and wholesome about a good green juice. I’ve been wanting a juicer for a while now (hint hint husband), but the craving hit hard and fast so I had to figure out a way to make it in my trusty blender.
I did a quick google search, saw such a thing existed, and got to work. I emptied out all the greens in my vegetable drawer, added a tart granny smith apple, (my favorite kind) and squeezed in a little fresh lemon to finish it off. I blended, strained it, and guess what? It did the trick. I was now in the possession of a crisp glass of green juice.

It was delicious. That’s when I knew I had to share it with all of you! If you have a juicer, I’m coming over. Also, I’m sure you could use this same recipe in your juicer.
