This quick homemade stuffed crust pizza is a weekly staple in our home. My kids absolutely love it and fondly call it "cheesy crust pizza" The first time I had stuffed crust was at a kosher Pita Hut in Israel and It quickly became my favorite. The crust was always a bit too much plain dough in my opinion and the cheese turns it into something exciting at the end of your slice!

Ingredients needed to make quick homemade stuffed crust pizza:
- Rapid rise/instant yeast- This is the only type of yeast I keep stocked up. It helps this recipe have a 30 minute rise time.
- Sugar- activates the yeast.
- Warm water- The water should be warm to the touch so the yeast can activate. If it's too hot it'll kill the yeast and if it's too cold, the yeast won't activate. The water should be comfortably warm to the touch.
- All-purpose flour
- Salt
- Extra virgin olive oil- really enhances the taste of the dough.
- Cheese sticks-for stuffing the crust.
- Marinara sauce
- Shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:
- Start by making the pizza dough. Combine the yeast, sugar, and water in the bowl of a mixer fitted with a dough hook or in a large bowl.
- Add in the flour, salt, and olive oil.
- Mix well until a smooth dough forms. Sometimes, the dough is a little sticky so add more flour as needed. Start with 1 tablespoon at a time and make sure the flour is fully incorporated before adding more.
- The dough should be very smooth and easy to work with.
- Spray a bowl with olive oil and add the ball of dough. Spray the top of the dough and cover with a warm wet towel. Place the dough in a warm place, preferably next to the oven.
- Place a pizza stone inside the oven and preheat it to 500F.
- The dough should rise considerably in the next 30-40 minutes.
- Place it on a sheet of parchment paper and gently roll it out into a circle the size of a personal pie.
- Slice the cheese sticks in half horizontally and place them at the edge of the pizza with a little but of dough at the end so you can fold the dough over the cheese stick.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the cheese stick and press it to stick. The cheese should be fully covered in the dough.
- Gently prick the dough with a fork to allow air to flow through the crust while baking.
- Spread the sauce over the dough and top with cheese.
- Transfer the parchment to the heated pizza stone and bake the pizza for 8-10 minutes.
- Cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
Storing and reheating quick homemade stuffed crust pizza:
Store leftover pizza in the fridge for up to 4 days in a airtight container or tightly wrapped foil. To reheat, place in a warmed oven until heated through.
Variations:
- Feel free to top the pizza with whatever toppings you fancy like corn, olives, and or peppers.
- You can change up the sauce by adding a vodka sauce instead of the classic marinara
