    Cookie sticks with sprinkles

Published: Jul 2, 2026 by tomatoestomahtos · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

These cookie sticks with sprinkles are super famous. I don't know the original source of this recipe, I've seen it so many times! I think they are super popular because they are so easy to make and really yummy! It's a great beginner recipe for any kids that want to help or if your just looking to not spend a whole lot of time baking in the kitchen. Since Shabbos and July 4 collide this year, I decided to give them a fun twist and use red, white, and blue sprinkles! Of course you can use any kind of sprinkles or even chocolate chips.

Here's what you need to make cookie sticks with sprinkles:

    • Oil- canola, vegetable, avocado- any neutral tasting oil
    • Egg
    • Vanilla and almond extract (the almond is optional)
    • Salt
    • Baking soda
    • Brown sugar
    • Sugar
    • All-purpose flour
    • Red, white, and blue jimmies sprinkles- I used this brand

    How to make them:

    1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a full sized baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
    2. Pour the oil, egg, and extract into a large bowl. Mix by hand to combine.
    3. Add in the salt, baking soda, and sugars. Mix again.
    4. Add in the flour. Once you have a nice cookie dough, your ready for the sprinkles.
    5. Fill ½ c measuring cup with ⅓ of each color sprinkles.
    6. Fold the sprinkles into the dough. (I like to fold in ¾ of them and use the rest to press to the top of the logs just before baking)
    7. Bake for 16 minutes.
    8. Cool completely before slicing into sticks.

    Storing cookie sticks with sprinkles:

Store cookie sticks in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Freeze them for up to 3 months.
