Sheet pan Shawarma

The best homemade version of the classic Israeli main dish that we all love.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lb boneless chicken thighs cut into 1" pieces
  • 2 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon all spice
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • instant couscous for serving
  • Israeli salad for serving
  • kalamata olives for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 450F. Combine the olive oil and spices in a bowl. Add in the chicken and spices and toss to coat evenly. Toss in a single layer on a parchment lined sheet pan , making sure the pieces are not overlapping. Bake until the chicken is cooked through and the onions are lightly caramelized, about 15 minutes. Serve in a bowl with instant couscous and Israeli salad or in a pita with desired toppings.
